All the photos found on this website are made by swiss-outdoor.ch, while under way by bike or on foot. Generally, the photos were not edited before uploading, except some were truncated a little. If, however, a rework of pictures was required, it will be mentioned accordingly.

Author

The author of swiss-outdoor.ch is living in nice little switzerland. He owns a bikecycle or two, some hiking shoes, and uses modern technologies like internet and digital photography to make this collection of tours and trips available to the interested reader.

Bike Pages

The Bike Pages are supposed to provide interested users with some information about bike tours in switzerland. Where available, there were photos uploaded.

Hike Pages

The Hike Pages document the hiking trips made. All of them are documented with a lot of pictures.

Technology

swiss-outdoor.ch is trying to fully fulfill the W3C Recommendations for XHTML 1.1 as well as CSS. For dynamic content, PHP5 is in use combined with a MYSQL database. There is no CMS in use.

The Site was developed mainly using Mozilla Firefox, but it is supposed to look and work the same way in all other browsers running on a PC or MAC. If you still experience problems with the website, any feedback is much appreciated.

Even though all common browsers work well with swiss-outdoor.ch, it is recommended not to use Internet Explorer as this browser is not fully standard compliant and generally makes development harder for web developers. For windows users, it is recommended to use Mozilla Firefox, Opera or Chrome.
